 Below is class availability list. Classes are designed for the tactical and prepared shooting enthusiast as well as the prepared homesteader who all want to be better prepared medically when modern medicine is not available or will be delayed.

Basic Trauma Bleeding Control

STOP THE BLEED

Our most basic bleeding control class. 

Class Length- 4 hours and 8 Hours

 Class will consist of lecture, hands on learning and skills stations of the following in the 4 hour class:

  • Tourniquet Application
  • Wound Packing
  • Emergency Trauma Bandage Application
  • Chest Seal Application

The 8 hour class consists of the above skill stations as well as the following:

  • NPA (airway placement)
  • Initial Shock Care
  • Head/Eye Injuries
  • Practical Scenarios

 

 

*Class is a hand on learning environment, with realistic trainers and equipment. *

All students will receive a STOP THE BLEED certificate from the American College of Surgeons and Certificate of training for Appalachian Medical Solutions,

 Class size can accommodate up to 25 students. 6 student minimum

Advanced Bleeding Control and Trauma Care

Advanced Bleeding Control and Trauma Care is a dynamic tactical trauma class. Consisting of the basic bleeding control class along with emergency patient moves, advanced trauma patient assessment, fracture care and environmental injuries. Class is focused on hands on learning and skill stations. 

 

Class will consist of the following modules:

 

  • Tourniquet use and application, self and buddy application.
  • Wound packing
  • Emergency Trauma Bandage Application
  • Chest Seal Application
  • Airway Control and NPA placement, including emergency respiratory control
  • Patient Assessment
  • Initial Shock Care
  • Fracture management and care
  • Patient extrication and movement
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Head/Eye injuries
  • "Boo Boo" care
  • Care Under Fire
  • Practical Exercises

 

This is a hands on learning environment, class will consist of learning environment inside and outside. This will consist of a stress induced learning environment. 

Class length- 16 hours

 

Class size of minimum of 6 students and no more than 15 students. 

 

Homestead Medicine

Practical not Tactical Medical Training

A practical training class for the person or persons who want to be better readily prepared for medical emergencies at home when conventional medical care is not available or will be delated receiving. This is an advanced medical training class for the prepared homesteader or persons to be ready for the unexpected injury or illness. All content is for "demonstration only", this is not to certify anyone to practice medicine at any level. But the information and hands on training as well as scenarios will provide a more advanced level of medical information and skill than your average first aid class. Instruction will also focus on the fundamentals of prolonged care. This class is a stress-free leaning Environment that focuses on hands on skills stations as well as leaning scenarios. Do you want to be prepared to take care of you loved ones or team members when conventional medical care is not available? Prepare and train today for tomorrows uncertainty. 

Classes will include patient care scenario's

2 Day Class- 16 hours of instruction

  • Advanced Patient Assessment
  • Vital signs application and Interpretation
  • Tourniquet Use and Application

  • Fracture Management and Splinting Techniques
  • Advanced Wound Care
  • Introduction to Wound Closure
  • Introduction to Medical Emergencies
  • Environmental Emergencies
  • Patient Packaging and Movement
  • Equipment Selection and Gear
  • Dental Emergencies and Care

 

 

4 Day Class- 26 total hours of instruction total 

  • All Above Content First 2 Days
  • Abdominal Injuries and Illness
  • Ear, nose and throat illness and injuries
  • Cardiac Emergencies
  • Neuro Emergencies
  • Advanced Airway Management and Advanced Airway Placement
  • Advanced Wound Care Management
  • Oxygen Administration
  • Basic Antibiotics Administration and other useful medications
  • The Diseases we haven't seen but will when things go bad
  • Basic Sanitation, Water Sanitation, Food Sanitation
  • What equipment do you really need to be medically prepared
  • Basic Clinic Design and Set Up
  • Prolonged Care Scenario

 

 

Class Can be separated into 2 separate 2 day classes
